Technical Sales Manager
Package £35-40,000 basic + profit related incentive + car + BUPA
An experienced solutions sales professional with managerial skills is sought to join the company to lead a five year growth plan to double the sales and drive for new business within the UK and Ireland. The company is also open to looking at overseas opportunities as the product portfolio includes exportable components for the construction industry in addition to the value added engineering solutions that are more viable for the UK market.
ALM Products is renowned for outstanding delivery performance, customer service and quality engineered products and services and the Sales Manager will benefit from excellent operational and service delivery back up. The successful candidate will be experienced in selling technical solutions on quality and service rather than price and although a background in engineering related technical sales is preferable, consideration will be given to all professional sales people from other sectors. The key factor is to find a person who takes action, achieves goals, sets a sales example and understands that the vision of the company is there to be extended and built on rather than diluted to make life easier.

Responsibilities will include: -
- Development of value added solutions sales to engineering and manufacturing sectors

Development of the sales team and department to safeguard current revenue and achieve greater engineered component sales

Development of sales systems and processes to improve quotation cycle

Identification of new market sectors and routes to market
Background qualifications, skills and experience: -
- A successful track record in new business development

The ability and experience to sell technical solutions (consultative selling)

A willingness to self-generate leads and cold call to open up opportunities
-
Good management skills

Sales operational ability to manage and develop sales administration people and processes

The confidence and ability to adapt and fit in quickly

A team ethos with an independent and self managing character

Willingness and ability to travel UK wide as required

An engineering or technical background is beneficial

Ability to read drawings
- Contacts in engineering, manufacturing, construction, OEM’s etc.
